We’re proud to say Timo Weiland’s Fall/Winter 2010 Presentation once again looked beautiful and went off without a hitch.
Timo’s collection looked incredibly beautiful against the backdrop of thousands of intricately wrapped ribbons, thanks to the help of Tom Palmer’s Production team & Alexander May’s prop styling skills. The room was aglow with natural daylight and the ribbons created a directional vanishing point for the eye to focus on all the incredible looks. Bravo Timo & Alan!
This Valentine’s Day, charity: water raised over $15,000 with through selling Valentine e-cards online. These are a few of the cards we designed for the occasion. We were thrilled to hear that 781 people will get clean water because of these cards!!! This great news warmed our hearts!

Who doesn’t love ribbons & bows? At least that’s what we thought when designing Timo’s invite this season. Somebody at R29 must have agreed since they chose it as one of their “Prettiest Picks” of FW10 fashion week invites.
If you like this, we think you’ll love Timo’s “Pageantry & Ceremonial Splendour” presentation that happened this morning — stay tuned for pictures from the show!

Monique put us to the challenge when she asked us to design a book to showcase her jewelry and unique story for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition. We were told that judges (AKA Anna Wintour) scrutinize every detail of these books, so we took that very seriously and put all of our efforts into making it as perfect as we could! We designed an over-sized book with 25,000 year old Mammoth bone pieces from Antarctica in-laid into the cover. The book was beautifully bound by Paper Dragon Books. We hope the book was partially responsible for getting her into the top 10 position and ultimately to the top 3!

Once the challenges intensified, she was asked to design a necklace to be sold at the Google store! She came up with the idea to take the google mantra “Don’t Be Evil,” and etch it into 12 mammoth pieces to be created in to a necklace. We jumped at the idea of a jewelry collaboration and illustrated the phrase in 12 different languages from Cuneiform to English. For being inspired by Google, we think it turned out to be quite an elegant piece!
Monique heads the trend, say our friends at R29. Monique’s necklace for Google which we helped to design, was called out today on Refinery’s Fashion Blog. See what they had to say here.
We’re honored that Monique chose our studio to help her along the way. Of course, in the end, it was thanks to Monique’s incredible work ethic; admirable devotion to eco-consciousness, fair trade, and charities; and of course her jewelry that got her there. Congratulations Monique!

Crazy discounts on awesome collections (including some of our favorite’s: Rachel Antonoff and Rebecca Turbow)!!
Save Fashion street teams are out and about in SoHo this week handing out these mystical flyers (Holy Chic!) — be sure to stop by Inven.tory to check out the super duper deals on awesome clothes and don’t forget to grab some buttons on your way out!

We had the honor of creative directing this fall’s Refinery29 Save Fashion, 10 day pop-up shop & event.
We jumped at the chance to collaborate with some of our favorite teams in the industry! Refinery29’s Piera Gelardi, pulled together what we would call the “DREAM TEAM”: photographer Tom Hines who captured our dreamy/hippy/black-magicy theme; Aux Armes nailed the in-store design with their interpretation of a prayer flag wall; and Tom Palmer Projects helped to throw a great opening night party. To top it all off, a percentage of the sales goes to the charity that’s most dear to our hearts, Charity:Water. But none of this would have been possible without the brain behind the whole thing: the hard working & totally inspiring people at R29 & Launch Collective.
Be sure to check out the pop-up shop, at Inven.tory for some great deals on designer goods!

Big thanks to Under Consideration’s FPO blog for the feature on the Bodkin invite. This site is an amazing source for print designers, it breaks down the whole print process by showing print specs, quantities, production time, print method etc…which I find fascinating!
