Honor makes Refinery29’s Emerging Designer list

Honor — An Emerging Designer to Watch

Refinery29 declares HONOR as 1 of 6 Emerging designers to watch this fashion week. With the way things are shaping up for the show next week we have a feeling that HONOR will not only be one to watch but one to remember.

Don’t let anyone tell you what it is!

Roanne Adams Catfish Totebag

The tagline is true, (although I fought for and lost “Tag your it”) you really don’t want anyone to spoil this story for you. The story seems too weird to be true but then again we live in a weird time when more than half our lives are played out on the internet. We are just starting to become aware of the implications that come along with social networking. That’s all Im going to say.

See Catfish!! Directed by my dear and brilliant friends Supermarché (Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman). You won’t be disappointed but you may be freaked out.

Look for CATFISH opening in these cities on September 17th.

Timo Weiland on Arcade44

Timo Weiland on Arcade44

Timo & Alan were recently featured on Arcade44 talking about their unique approach to menswear and mentioned us as his favorite! Well, the feeling is mutual—we adore those two! Thanks, Timo!

“Roanne Adams, our art director. Anything she touches is GOLD. We have worked with her since before officially launching our company and are in love with her aesthetic, taste level, and thought process.” —TW

We also whole heartedly agree with Timo about our good friend Matthew Daniel Sisken of Designed Memory!.

Kava Gorna has a new website up. Not only is her work pretty incredible, but we love her web address: imgornagetyou.com! It showcases her most recent photo work for Urban Outfitters along with Refinery29, I-D Magazine, Lake and Stars, Me Magazine, Steven Alan, and ‘Sup Magazine. Bonus: her blog is filled with tons of beautiful and inspirational imagery.

Dodes Does Video

Stephanie Dodes
A nice little review from The Off Brand on our friend Stephanie Dode’s Everything for Nothing video art piece.

Katie Gallagher – One to Watch

We are blown away by Katie Gallagher’s new collection and further astonished by the dead-on lookbook photos by the one and only Tom Hines.

Refinery shares our excitement, naming Katie along with Timo Weiland (YAY!!) designers to watch.

Animal Artist

Our friend, artist Joey Cocciardi, opened his solo show at the new Charlie Horse Gallery in Williamsburg last week.

We share his love for creatures and we’re jealous that the Ace Hotel gets that big huge canvas hanging in front of that garage. Check out the interview on Vice.com.

We think he might have stretched the truth a bit but judge for yourself.

The Herzog’s Release Their Latest Film & Book

Werner Herzog’s film, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans starring Nicolas Cage & Eva Mendes premiered at the Venice Film Festival last week. See the trailer and other related videos here.

Meanwhile, we just got our first copy of the book we designed which includes beautiful photos from the New Orleans set shot by the incredibly talented, Lena Herzog along with Werner’s script. Buy a copy on Amazon!

Also, check out the latest interview about the film with Werner Herzog at New York Magazine.

A Friend of Glamour is a Friend of Ours!

Refinery29’s Piera & Philippe / Abigail Lorick with Jessica Szohr

Two of our very favorite companies & friends (Refinery29 & Lorick) graced the last two issues of Glamour with their stunning good looks!

(I only know this due to the fact that Condé Nast has supplemented my subscription to Domino with Glamour magazine. At first I was super bummed about it but now that I get to see my friends, Im kind of okay with it!)
