LORICK
FALL '09 FASHION PRESENTATION

Art Direction & Design

Lorick's Fall '09 collection was inspired by the dark drama of the French New Wave, specifically François Truffaut's The Bride Wore Black. We had the pleasure of art directing photographer Tom Hines to create the filmic qualities in the photos. We used narrative devices like suspense, the tension of a love triangle, and absurd Hitchcockian death scenes. Thankfully the weather complied, supplying us with appropriately stormy, sinister skies.
LORICK
SPRING '09 FASHION PRESENTATION

Art Direction, Set Design & Prop Styling

For Lorick's big debut into the fashion world, we created a multidisciplinary installation during New York's Spring '09 Fashion Week. Deconstructing the idea of "keeping up appearances," we juxtaposed Lorick's signature clean silhouettes with scenes of chaos and destruction — resulting in a striking world inspired by the recession of the late 80's, Virginia Woolf's book, A Room of One's Own, as well as cinema classics like War of the Roses. Under the hot gaze of immense theatrical lights within a breathtaking loft space in midtown Manhattan, the collection was presented as seven living scenes featuring sophisticated Lorick Ladies engaged in various compelling environments.
BODKIN

Invitation Design, Lookbook Design, Photographic & Event Art Direction

Bodkin is a collection designed by Eviana Hartman in accordance with the principles of sustainability.

The Bodkin Autumn/Winter '09 invitation influences ranged from the designer's ideologies to the context of the presentation as well as architect, Buckminster Fuller. The invitation arrived in the form of a tetrahedron containing an airplant with care instructions.

One of Bodkin's green principals is to work within existing spaces and with found materials. Therefore we held the fashion presentation and photo shoot simultaneously at the Horticultural Society of New York. The invite and lookbook were printed locally with 100% post-consumer recycled paper and eco-friendly inks.

OSHKOSH

Brand Identity Re-Design & Art Direction

OshKosh Spring/Summer '06 &
OshKosh Fall/Winter '06 Campaigns

In helping OshKosh carry on the tradition of creating work wear we emphasized the idea that A kid's work is PLAY and highlight OshKosh's nostalgic pull and playful American spirit. We re-designed the OshKosh logo into a more playful and fresh form and art directed the Spring, Summer and Fall campaigns themed "Go Play."

PROPHECY MAGAZINE 11

Creative Direction

A 224 page magazine that covers a wide range of cultural topics.

We re-designed the magazine with a looser format, with a system of organizational tabs in place of pagination. This allowed us to organize the articles according to content and pacing as opposed to the traditional regimented way of organizing editorial content. Printed with black & white covers with holographic foil logos.

ONE GLOBE ONE FLAG

Creative Direction

Poster for One Globe One Flag International Poster Exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia. We were asked to create a flag that would not "discriminate against any individual, religion, culture, race, ethnic group or political alignment of a country."

Our (Brief) Statement: Love sees no color, a provocatively ambiguous yet clichéd statement, is announced by white flags and flagpoles. The blank, undulating flags symbolize the surrender of nationalist ideals, the first step towards achieving a unified globe.

JAMES HARRIS GALLERY

Brand Identity Design & Website Design

Perhaps the best gallery in Seattle, James Harris has a great eye for art as well as an openness to off beat branding.
TENOVERSIX

Brand Identity Design

TenOverSix, boutique and gallery-like installation space in Los Angeles offers high-concept designer accessories. Ingeniously derived from the owner, Kristen Lee's fascination with the book Alice in Wonderland — we named and branded the boutique after the price tag for "10/6" (or 10 pounds 6 pence) on the Madhatter's hat. We explored the object of contemporary price tags, borrowed our color palette from monopoly money, and played with scale to nod at the whimsy.
